The software will remain the same but will continue to develop. After 2018 some of the color accents of the software will change. The Moog maroon (red) color accents will be replaced by Nissin Dental blue accents.

For most customers the transition will be completed as of November 15th, 2018. However Nissin Dental and Moog expect need until the end of 2018 to complete the transition of all internal business processes.
Most customers have been in contact with the Simodont office in Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands and Shanghai, China. For these customers all communication will remain the same. Customers that were dealing with their local Moog office (especially in South America, Australia, Republic of Korea and Australia) will be informed about their new contact persons.
Installation and training will be done by the same team based in The Netherlands and in China.
From now on all invoices will be sent by Nissin Dental. In exceptional cases these may still be sent by Moog, this is depending on the applicable contractual conditions.

We understand that the transfer of the Simodont business to Nissin Dental will be an important issue during discussions and negotiations. Most customers have been in contact with the Simodont office in Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands and Shanghai, China. For these customers all communication will remain the same. Customers that were dealing with their local Moog office (especially in South America, Australia, Republic of Korea and Australia) will be informed about their new contact persons. Any contracts or purchase orders issued before November 15th, 2018 can only be accepted by Moog. Any contracts or purchase orders issued per November 15th, 2018 can only be accepted by Nissin Dental.
The Simodont business has been bought by Nissin Dental from Moog. This means that as of November 15th 2018 Nissin Dental will develop, manufacture, sell and support the Simodont world wide. Moog will no longer have any involvement in Simodont. However Moog will do whatever necessary to ensure a smooth business transition. All Moog Simodont designs and patents will be licensed to Nissin Dental. The Simodont production facility and offices will be transferred to Nissin Dental. The complete Simodont development-, manufacturing-, sales- and support team will also join Nissin Dental. The Simodont main office will remain in Nieuw Vennep, The Netherlands. Any existing business obligations will be transferred to Nissin Dental or will be fulfilled by Nissin Dental on behalf of Moog. After the transition Nissin Dental will work to use their existing global network of facilities, distributors and agents to help market, sell and support Simodont.
On short term nothing will change for most customers. The Simodont team in Nieuw Vennep and China remains unchanged. The existing (Moog) contact details will remain active and emails will be redirected to the new Nissin Dental email box (see details below). Phone numbers will remain unchanged. Any existing business obligations (such as deliveries, warranty requests, preventive maintenance, etc.) will be transferred to Nissin Dental or will be fulfilled by Nissin Dental on behalf of Moog. Any visits or events will continue as planned. Nissin Dental and Moog are committed to ensure that our customers do not experience any short term inconvenience by this transition.
After the transition Nissin Dental will expand the Simodont organization to continue development of Simodont and to support our growing customer base world wide. Nissin Dental and the Simodont team see many development opportunities for Simodont and we are eager to continue the development together with our customer base. Simodont will primarily be supported by 3 ‘hubs’ in Mexico (for the Americas), The Netherlands (for Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and China (for Asia). Furthermore the existing Nissin Dental facilities, distributors and agents worldwide will work together with the Simodont team to have better local presence in most countries.
The team will not change. The complete current Simodont development, sales and support team will transfer to Nissin Dental. In the near future the team will grow to continue development of Simodont and to support or growing customer base. Teampage
At this point in time the only action required from some customers may be to ensure that Nissin Dental is listed as an approved supplier in their administrative systems.
All warranty obligations will be transferred to Nissin Dental and will be fulfilled under the same conditions and by the same team.
All (preventive) maintenance obligations will be transferred to Nissin Dental and will be fulfilled under the same conditions and by the same team.
Technical support will be done by the same team based in The Netherlands and in China. The existing contact details (email, phone numbers) will remain active and new contact details will be advised and can be found on the Simodont website.
Any existing orders will be transferred to Nissin Dental or will be fulfilled by Nissin Dental on behalf of Moog, this is depending on the applicable contractual conditions. All customers with open orders will be contacted personally to discuss their particular situation and any specific implications that may be applicable.
