University of Helsinki starts with Simodont dental trainer

23 February 2023

In September the installation of 2 Simodont dental trainers was completed at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Diseases of the University of Helsinki at their recently renovated facility at the Meilahti Campus. The contract also covers multi-year support and software updates.

The Simodonts are installed in a brand new facility that also holds 52 state-of-the-art Planmeca dental work stations. This new lab is designed so that students can work on Simodont independently without supervision to train and develop their dental skills. It will offer training flexibility for both the university and the students, making it easier for everyone to benefit from this novel training capability. The lab is another significant step to help to pursue the university’s mission to further develop world-class Finnish healthcare.

The Simodont team looks forward to working with the team at the University of Helsinki!
